EADS Secure Networks to provide radio network in Madrid

Monday, Dec 22, 2008

EADS Secure Networks will provide the Autonomous Community of Madrid with a radio communications network, which replaces the current analogue network. Canal de Isabel II, the public company that manages the water supplies for Madrid, awarded the contract to EADS' reseller in the region, Omnilogic Telecomunicaciones.

EADS will provide Tetra radio terminals and support the system roll-out and its maintenance afterwards. The potential users of the network include the city's emergency, security and rescue organisations: fire brigades, Bescam (Madrid autonomous region special security brigades), police forces of different Madrid community towns, as well as civil protection and medical emergency services in Madrid.
