Jiangsu Telecom and Jiangsu Unicom have signed a cooperative framework agreement on resource sharing and joint telecommunications infrastructure construction. The agreement lays out the specific details of the resource sharing that will take place, with both sides to share machine rooms, access transmitters, supporting infrastructure for base stations, and other resources. They will also jointly construct the supporting infrastructure for base stations and give priorities to each other on leasing or purchasing network resources and supporting facilities such as transmitting circuits, pipes, and poles.
Several other provinces including Hebei and Liaoning have also set up research groups for the sharing and joint construction of telecommunications infrastructure.
