Morphsuits set to take sell-out Granite Expo by storm

A prestigious line-up of speakers, including one of the co-founders of the Morphsuit phenomenon, will present a series of free seminars at next month’s Granite Expo event in Aberdeen.

The sell-out Granite Expo SME showcase will take place on November 1st at the Hilton Treetops Hotel and will feature more than 100 exhibitors.  The event will be officially opened by Professor Rita Marcella, Dean of Aberdeen Business School at Robert Gordon University.

A highlight of the busy seminar programme will be a presentation by Gregor Lawson, co-founder of the Morphsuit phenomenon which is taking the world by storm.  When a friend attended a stag weekend in an all-in-one spandex suit, the attention the prank received did not go unnoticed by the Morphsuit founders who seized the opportunity to create what has quickly grown into a multi-million pound, global fancy dress business.  This has been fuelled primarily by online and social media platforms such as Facebook where the company page achieved one million “likes” earlier this year.

Gregor Lawson said: “Morphsuits is a great example of what can be done with the right combination of enthusiasm, imagination and the right marketing and I look forward to sharing some of what we have learned on our amazing journey so far with delegates at Granite Expo.”

In addition there will be a further nine free seminars presented by leading figures from the worlds of business and education.  They will focus on a range of topics including social media, turning ideas into opportunities, marketing strategies, contracts and working with universities.

As well as networking and cross selling opportunities, Granite Expo will also feature a business breakfast hosted by Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce and a Business Network Scotland (BNS) event.
