Telguard first to deliver UL line security supervision over 2G, 3G and 4G cellular networks

Thursday, Mar 29, 2012

ISC West, Booth #21097--Telguard, a division of Telular Corporation (Nasdaq:WRLS), and a leader in alarm and event monitoring solutions and services, announced today that the TG-4 and TG-7 series of 3G cellular alarm communicators are now UL Listed for standard line security service. The first to offer this feature over 3G cellular, Telguard's line security feature addresses the needs of high-ticket item businesses like jewelry stores, which require the maximum level of security.

Like Telguard's TG-7FS which can replace all of the landlines currently
dedicated to commercial fire systems, the TG-4 and TG-7 series allow
businesses to eliminate landlines required for burglary systems, providing a significant cost-savings. Additionally, by being able to provide 200 second link supervision for standard line security, Telguard offers this service over the cellular network, providing a more robust security system.

On average, cellular monitoring costs the end user significantly less than a dedicated landline. By installing Telguard commercial cellular alarm communicators with line security, in place of landlines, security dealers now have a new source of RMR and business owners pay a much smaller monthly charge for security monitoring.

"Unlike other solutions, Telguard's 3G line of security products deliver three layers of redundancy by supervising our products first with the 3G HSPA network, then the GPRS network and finally with SMS," says Shawn Welsh, vice president of marketing and business development, Telular. "Now dealers can help high-value retail businesses meet insurance requirements with Telguard's robust 3G solutions for the same
price as 2G products."

Telguard's line security feature is available now with all TG-4 and TG-7 series 3G cellular alarm communicators. The new service will be showcased at ISC West booth number #21097 at ISC West taking place March 28 through 30 in Las Vegas.
