Tyco Telecommunications Renamed Tyco Electronics Subsea Communications

MORRISTOWN, N.J., March 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Tyco Telecommunications, a business unit of Tyco Electronics Ltd. (NYSE:TEL) and an industry pioneer in undersea communications technology, announced today it is now operating under a new name: Tyco Electronics Subsea Communications (TE SubCom). TE SubCom will continue to deliver the same reliable, high-quality, undersea communications solutions -- maintaining a leading position in the industry just as it has done for more than five decades.

"Our new name enables us to more closely align ourselves with our parent company, Tyco Electronics, and reinforces our commitment to designing, manufacturing, installing and maintaining the premier subsea cable systems across the globe," said David Coughlan, CEO of TE SubCom.
